My third birthday is on June 25. This day we went to Ocean Park. Mama said we had to ride a train then a bus to get to Ocean Park. I was wearing my birthday t-shirt and pants which we bought the day before. It is a 'black t-shirt' and 'white pants'.
I am holding the 'small piano' that mama also bought for me when she got the t-shirt and pants. It was raining at Ocean Park when we got there. It is good that my new stroller has a plastic cover that papam can put so I will not get wet. I have a new stroller because papam and mama left my 'blue stroller' in Singapore. Sometimes I don't want to walk so papam has to carry me, maybe that's why they bought the new stroller.
Papam bought a raincoat and mama bought an orange umbrella. The rain didn't last very long but it was very hot after the rain. Anyway, I saw 'sea lions', 'fish', 'jelly-fish', and a bird-looking fish. I told mama that it's a bird but mama said it's a fish. Papam said it's a fish called sting-ray. Still looks like a bird to me.
After we saw the fish, I asked mama for milk. Here I am with my lunch break at the Ocean Park.
We left Ocean Park after lunch but we did not take the bus anymore. Papam said he's too tired already. So we took a taxi to go back to the hotel. The taxi is 'red' and looks the same as the taxis in Singapore. After we rested at the hotel, we went out again to do some shopping. Papam and mama bought a toy car racing set for me as my birthday gift. I started playing with my toy cars as soon as we got back to the hotel.
For dinner, we went to The Quarterdeck restaurant at the Ocean Terminal, Harbour City. Papam had steak, mama had lamb and I had spaghetti.
The view from the restaurant is very nice. We can see the lights from the buildings across HongKong's harbour. We also got a card from the restaurant which will give us 10% off the next time we eat there.

Ride airplane to HongKong
I wasn't able to update my blog because I am away for 4 days to celebrate my third birthday. Papam, mama, and I went to HongKong to see Mickey Mouse. But I didn't see Mickey Mouse right away because we had to see 'fish' first. Papam said we are going to Ocean Park first to see 'fish' and then we will see Mickey Mouse the next day.
On Sunday, June 24, we left the house very early to ride the airplane to HongKong. I was so excited to see Mickey Mouse so I keep reminding papam and mama that we will 'see Mickey Mouse' even before the airplane leaves the airport.
I was asleep during the entire flight and we were already in HongKong when I woke up. I could see the airplane as we walk along the HongKong airport. The airport is 'very too big' compared to Singapore. We had to take a train to get to the other side where we're supposed to get our 'big black bag.'
After we got our 'big bag', we went to the corner where we met the person who would take us to the bus to our hotel. I was so excited to ride the bus. It is a 'white bus' that took us to the hotel.
We had spaghetti that night at 'The Spaghetti House' for dinner.
Click on the slideshow below to see some more pictures we took on that day.

Papam said I have to sleep now. Tomorrow we will ride an airplane to see Mickey Mouse.
I don't know where we're going but I have to wake up early tomorrow. I'm going to sleep in my Spiderman bed now.

Me, Papam, and Mama in School
This morning, papam, mama and I are in school. I don't have school today but this day our teachers are meeting all papam and mama of all the children in school. The purpose of the meeting is for parents to get a chance to ask the teachers how their children are doing in school.
We met with Ms Angela and Ms Rose. We also met my Chinese teacher. Papam and mama took turns asking the teacher. I just sat there and listen to them, sometimes I laugh if I see them laughing too. Ms Angela looks happy telling papam and mama what I do in school. She said I get along with my classmates very well. That my classmates like me because I am very outgoing. I have a lot of friends in school, both boys and girls. Ms Angela showed papam and mama my book in school, she calls it portfolio. This book has some of my pictures when I am in school painting, eating, playing in the playground, sorting toys, and playing with my classmates.
Ms Angela said that I am a very happy child and laughing at almost anything. But I still have some problem sharing toys with other kids. I get upset when one of the children take my toys without asking for permission. Papam and mama are telling me to learn to share toys with other children.
These are some comments from my teachers that they put in my school book:
"Kristian is always eager and keen in doing Arts & Craft."
"Kristian is improving in his self-help skills. He is now able to hold the spoon the correct way. However, he needs to be reminded to hold his bowl with the other hand."
"Kristian is very focused while doing his work. He sometimes needs reminder on his grip."
"Kristian takes the initiative and is helpful when it comes to keeping the toys."
"He is also able to sort out the different toys into the respective boxes."
Some other comments are in Chinese. I'm still not good in Chinese so I can't write it here. But my teacher says I can repeat Chinese words very accurately.
We left the school at 11 in the morning to eat lunch. Mama said she's going to buy a Spiderman bed for me. I am very excited.

It's good to be the King
Hi, I am King Kristian.
Yesterday, we went to Toys R' Us at Vivo City. I asked papam to buy more 'very small cars'. I got a yellow car, a green car, and a black truck 'like ninongs'. My mama also bought me a new jacket because papam forgot to bring my jacket and it was very cold in Vivo City. I also asked mama to buy a blue shirt and a cap. We had dinner at Earl Swensen's, also in Vivo City. I ate french fries, corn, biscuits and chips. After dinner, we went home because it was already past 11 pm.

No school today
I did not go to school today. Papam said we have no school today because my teachers are going to some training. He also doesn't know what the training is. Papam also did not go to office, but he said he will be go to office on the table. He is doing something on his 'computer' while I'm watching TV. I played with my toys this morning, did some coloring but now I am watching TV while papam is giving me food.
Papam said I am eating soup rice with chicken and apple juice. But I think it's pork and not chicken. I'm already feeling sleepy. I think I'll sleep after I finish my food, or maybe take a bath. It depends on papam.
Papam said we're still going to buy toys today because it's Friday. We will buy toys later after he finished with the 'computer'. I want to buy a Barney bed and pillow too.

Mickey Mouse in the house
I always wondered what the 3 balls on the table are for. Mama put them there a year ago and I think they're supposed to make the table look nicer but they still look like 3 balls to me. Papam and mama get angry everytime I play with them so I'm quite sure they're not my toys.
One time when papam and I are having dinner, I found out that if rearrange the balls, I could actually see 'Mickey Mouse'. I turned to papam and said 'papa, mickey mouse, there!'. Papam was amazed when I showed him 'Mickey Mouse' using the 3 balls that he asked me to show mama when she comes home, and so I did.

Buy toys on Friday
Yesterday, papam and I didn't buy any toy. We just went straight back to the house so I can play with my other toys. It's 'ok' with me because I have many toys already and some more new toys my mama bought last Sunday that I haven't opened yet. Papam said we will buy toys again but only on Friday. Yesterday was Tuesday so from today I have to count 1,2,3 to Friday. I wanted to buy a 'red boat' (I already have blue and yellow) but I can wait until Friday. I will also try if I can get papam to buy me more 'very small cars'.

Very small cars
Last Friday, papam and I went to Tampines Mall. I used to call it 'tatimin small' but papam said it should be Tampines Mall. Mama is still in the office so only papam and I are going to Tampines Mall. Papam said we will eat dinner there because mama will have dinner at the office. I asked papam if we could 'buy toys' first and he said ok.
I like going to Tampines Mall because there are more toys there than the place where I go to school. First we went to see some bedsheets because I also asked mama and papam to buy me a superman or spiderman bedsheet. I already have Barney blanket. But we cannot find any superman or spiderman bedsheets or blanket so we just went to the toys store.
I asked papam to buy me 'very small' cars. Papam said I can get 3 so I picked up 3 'very small' cars - blue, red, and black.
This is 'enough' for now. I will ask papam 'next time' to buy me more 'very small' cars. At dinner, I asked papam to open the boxes of my new toy cars so I can play with them while we eat. My papam and I ate fried rice with egg. My papam also ate pork chop but I don't like pork chop so I only ate fried rice with egg. We also had mango pudding for dessert. Oh, and I also got papam to buy me a spiderman bowl and a set of spiderman spoon and fork. I couldn't find a spiderman cup. It took me some time to decide then I finally settled on a barney cup instead.

'Something new'
When papam and I are in the car, I always ask him to play my favorite music. I call it 'something new' ,but papam call it The High School Musical Soundtrack - quite a long title for a CD, I think. Anyway, I always sing along to every song in the CD and I don't want papam to sing too. So I tell him to 'stop' whenever he starts singing along. I sometimes let him sing along especially when I'm eating my cookies.
Papam always tests me on the 'something new' songs. He will sing any line from any song and I will tell him which song it is. He is very impressed because I am correct all the time. I don't know what the big deal is but it seems so simple to me. He sings a part of the song I know, then I tell him what the song is.
There was one time when I was the one who sang a line from a song and I let mama and papam guess. After some time they are still not able to guess what the song is so I have to tell them myself. I think this guessing game is easy for me but not for mama and papam.

My First Blog
Hi, I am Kristian. This is my first blog. My papam decided to stop my other website because he said this is easier to update and has a better layout. I call him (my dad) "papam". I don't know why he doesn't like it, he always tells me to take out the "m" at the end. But I think "papa" is so common and overused, "papam" is unique. Anyway, I think I'll call him papa when he's around. Yes, that's me in the photo while waiting for my airplane going back to Singapore.
This morning was the first time mama is going to send me to school. Papam is talking on the phone, mama said he has an early meeting so she has to be the one to send me to school. I am excited because we're going to take the taxi (mama can't drive). We took a blue taxi to school. I was hoping we could ride a yellow taxi but I think only the blue ones are available today. Mama asked the taxi driver to wait for her at the school's parking lot while she walked me towards the school. She needed the taxi again to go to her office.
Mama can only send me up to the school's receiving area so I said goodbye to her before I walk inside the school's premises. Then suddenly the lights went off and then on again. Later in the afternoon, my papam and I found out that it was mama who made the lights to go off and on. She thought the switch is for opening the front door but turned out to be the main light switch. Oh my goodness, mama!
No photos.

SpongeBob Squarepants in Singapore
Yesterday was a very special day for Kristian because he was going to see SpongeBob Squarepants live in Singapore. The show is entitled SpongeBob Squarepants Live! The Sponge Who Could Fly! The show is supposed to run from 31 May to 6 June 2007 at the Singapore Expo Hall 3. We bought the tickets for yesterday, June 2, as it was a Saturday.
It was Kristian who first saw the advertisement on a big billboard. He shouted "SpongeBob, there!" in the car while we were driving along the Expo drive. At first I didn't understand why he shouted SpongeBob until I saw the billboard myself. And then he said "I want to watch SpongeBob in Singapore."
He was already feeling sleepy when we put on his clothes yesterday and was fast asleep when we arrived at Singapore Expo Hall 3. He was still sleeping when we got to our chairs. We tried waking him up but it doesn't seem to work until all the children made a loud noise. He looked very surprised seeing all the people in one big room then he realized that we were supposed to watch SpongeBob. So he stayed awake until the show has started.
He was very happy watching SpongeBob and would laugh aloud occasionally. It was a musical and we saw several characters like Patrick Star, Squidward Tentacles, Sandy Cheeks, Eugene H. Krabs, Gary, Plankton, Larry T. Lobster and a lot of Jellyfish. It's just too bad that photography is not allowed during the show. All in
all, it was a happy show about making dreams come true that even adults will enjoy.
